A novel LED lighting solution solves a 24 hour a day tunnel lighting dilemma, saving energy & maintenance costs, while providing the lowest total cost of ownership.

New LED tunnel luminaires have a 130,000-hour life and are expected to provide 15 years of use before they need replacement. A patented control system extends LED service life. These intelligent luminaires are self-reporting on their operation condition and can report to remote locations over the Internet. Parameters such as internal temperature, LED age statistics and power consumption are transmitted and used by the controller to calculate the required light output. The system can detect high levels of dust deposits that may reduce light output and, readjust the intensity of the LED luminaires to meet pre-determined lighting criteria.

The Atwater tunnel in Montréal is the first in the world equipped with an intelligent lighting system with an LED luminaire control system.
